If you’re not sure where the flash mode button is, consult your camera’s manual.

If you’re using a Canon Rebel T6 or T6i, look for the flash mode button on the top deck (of the camera), just to the right of the shutter release button. If you’re using a Canon EOS Rebel T5 or T5i, look for the flash mode button on the top deck (of the camera), just to the right of the lens. Once you’ve found the button, toggle it to “Off.”

In some cases, you may need to press the flash mode button multiple times to cycle through the different flash modes.

– First ensure that the camera is set to “Auto” flash mode
– Second, make sure that the flash is turned off by pressing the flash mode button multiple times until the green light next to the button turns off
– Finally, to turn the flash back on, press the flash mode button once more until the green light next to the button turns on

If your camera doesn’t have a “Flash Off” mode, you can usually disable the flash by setting the camera to “Auto” mode.

  1. Open the camera’s menu and locate the Flash setting.
  2. Change the Flash setting to “Off.”
  3. Press the shutter button halfway to activate the shutter, and then release it to finish taking the picture.
