Using a USB cable

Assuming you are using a Canon camera that has a USB connection, plug the USB cable into the camera and the other end into your computer. Make sure the camera is turned on and the software that came with it is installed.

Assuming your computer has a USB port, open up Windows Explorer (Windows key + R, type “explorer.exe”) and navigate to the folder where you downloaded the Canon software. There will be a file called “Setup.exe” in this folder. Double-click on this file to start the installation process.

When the installation process is complete, click on the “Camera” icon in the Windows Explorer window. You will now see a list of all the connected devices in the computer. The camera should be at the very top of this list.

Click on the camera icon to open the camera’s settings. Click on the “Port” tab and select the “Use USB Connection” option. Click on the “OK” button to close the settings window.

If you are using a Canon camera that has an auxiliary port, you can use the ImageBrowser EX software to connect your camera to your computer. This software is available free from Canon.

2.Open the Canon CameraWindow DC software and sign in.
3.Click on the “Add Device” button and select your Canon camera from the list.
4.Click on the “Capture” button and start capturing images and videos.
